Get rid of negative chatter

We all deal with negative chatter in our head. The real test is what we do with those thoughts. Do you dwell on them? Do you replace them with positive thoughts which are closer to the real truth?
Each of our lives are just as we think we see ourselves. We are usually our own worst critic. And those negative assumptions we make about ourselves are not the truth, and definitely not the way our Heavenly Father sees us. So SHUT THAT VOICE UP and listen to a voice that speaks truth to your heart, not your mind. Read scriptures, listen to uplifting music, and take your thoughts to a higher place.
I'm not saying it's easy to make these changes, because if you're anything like me, you have a LOT of negative chatter coming at you; but I will say that the better you get at it, the better you feel. And the better you feel, the more opportunities will come into your life so you can be in the right mindset to accept them and let them CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

DARE TO DREAM AND DARE TO DO

My favorite meal of the day and a great personal development book...ahhhhh summer is so nice!
Today I'm reading about facing your fears. Which you pretty much HAVE to do if you want to fulfill your dreams. This has been a tough one for me, but my WHY keeps me pushing.
This isn't easy, but I'm going to boldly declare that I WILL become a successful health and fitness coach; and I WILL impact and improve more people's lives by helping them reach their own goals!

Veggies and Brown Rice Stir Fry - vegan


This is one of our family staples and we have it almost every week. The kids absolutely love it!

Recipe:

1 red bell pepper, cut, diced
4 cloves garlic, diced
1 medium zucchini sliced or diced
1 medium carrot sliced or diced
2 heads broccoli, cut into bite sized florets
1 onion, diced
2 T coconut oil
1/2 cup coconut milk (optional)
1 T sesame seed oil
Bragg Liquid Aminos to taste
Himalayan salt to taste
brown rice steamed (not sure how much I cook, probably 4 cups cooked) Soak your brown rice for 9 hours and then rinse very well before you steam.

Cut up all vegetables and sauté onion and garlic in coconut oil first. Then add the rest of the vegetables and cook for 3-5 minutes or until tender (sometimes I steam the broccoli first and then add it in once the other veggies are cooked). Add the steamed rice and remaining ingredients to taste.

THE RESULTS ARE IN FROM THE 21 DAY ULTIMATE RESET


Hubby and I just finished our 21 Day Ultimate Reset program where you eat only healthy foods (meal plans and recipes provided) and take supplements to detox and "reset" your body. There are no workouts with this program (walking is encouraged) so that your body can focus on healing it's insides rather than repairing muscle. There is no starving either. Plenty of healthy food to eat!
FIRST: we both feel absolutely amazing and not only do our bodies feel "reset" and clean, but our taste buds are all new and craving healthy foods. It's AWESOME!!
SECOND: even though some of the results are visible on the outside, most of the results happen on the inside.
We are both 42 years old and we will not sit around and gain a couple pounds a month year after year "just because that's what happens when you get older". Hogwsh!! WE choose what foods go in our mouths, nobody else. And it's easier than you think, especially when you're taught what foods those should be.

Garlic and Veggies

I haven't posted much about me doing the Ultimate Reset with my hubby, but here's one of my favorite dinners from it! Sweet potato and garlic veggies, I'm almost done with the 21 days and feeling absolutely amazing! 

Here's the recipe for the Garlic Veggies (this is for 1 serving if you are only eating a sweet potato and the veggies for dinner. Otherwise, if you are just eating them as a side dish, this would make 2 servings)

2 tsp coconut oil
2 cloves garlic
1 medium carrot, cut into thin slices
1/2 medium head broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
1 T. water
1/2 medium zucchini, cut lengthwise, sliced
1/4 medium red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch strips
1 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. Bragg Liquid Aminos (to taste, optional)

Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic; cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute. Add water. Cover; cook for 1 minute. Remove cover. Add zucchini and bell pepper; cook, stirring frequently, for 2 to 3 minutes or until tender-crisp. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice and Bragg Liquid Aminos (if desired); mix well.

I LOVE simple breakfasts


One hour before getting in my T25 lower focus workout, I made a delicious, yet simple breakfast this morning. I cut up a small, already baked potato, heated it up with some coconut oil and cracked 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg in the pan and scrambled it, and  then added some salsa to top it off.😋
I'm gonna be feeling those sore legs tomorrow...I cannot wait for Beachbody's new supplements that help with pre workout energy, workout hydration, and soreness overnight. I'm one of those people who gets sore every time I do something new...which is quite often.
